What if I don't have a Tesla?
We support 40+ car brands through Smartcar's official API, including Ford, GM, BMW, Hyundai, Kia, Rivian, and more. Or you can manually enter your miles — it works for any car, gas or electric.
How do you track my miles?
For connected cars, we read your odometer once a day through your car's official API. That's it — no GPS tracking, no driving behavior data, no location history.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
We're working toward 501(c)(3) status. We'll let you know as soon as donations become tax-deductible.
Is this legal?
Yes. For Teslas, we use the official Tesla Fleet API with OAuth 2.0. For other brands, we use Smartcar's official API. These are the same APIs powering hundreds of legitimate apps.
Can you control my car?
Never. We only request odometer access. No command scopes. It's technically impossible for us to send any commands to your vehicle.
How do I cancel?
Cancel anytime in your account settings. We'll stop tracking and charging immediately, and revoke our data access automatically.
What if I'm embarrassed to still be driving a Tesla?
Look, we get it. The guy who makes your car also posts through the night like a teenager who just discovered 4chan. But your car is already bought — might as well make it fund everything he hates.
